Description:

Aki is looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and well-connected Travel Category Lead to act as a vertical expert and a resource for Aki’s sales team. In this role, you will have extensive travel contacts (nationwide) and possess deep knowledge of the digital advertising landscape.

What you will be doing:
  • Lead engagement with teams including R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Product to design vertical go-to-market positioning, including sales materials, account-based marketing campaigns, industry content & POVs, press, and events.
  • Be the vertical expert and own end-to-end insights for strategic client and brand engagement.
  • Build a differentiated narrative and agenda to engage senior marketers in the retail sector.
  • Identify go-to-market and thought leadership that drives conversation with advertisers through big idea thinking.
  • Represent Aki at key vertical-specific/trade events and develop rapport and relationships to serve as a category expert.
About You:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience as a marketer/seller in the travel industry, with expertise in ad tech and media.
  • Strong relationships at both brands and agencies representing travel.
  • A rich understanding of the digital advertising landscape and challenges travel marketers are confronting.
  • Track record of measuring ROI and impact of marketing programs.
  • Collaborative nature & track record of being an invaluable resource to sales teams.
  • “No job is too big or too small” mentality.
  • College degree or equivalent.
